Nextracker is strongly committed to training the clean energy workforce of today. More than 1,000 solar workers have learned new skills at our PowerworX Academy locations in the U.S., India, Brazil, the Middle East, North Africa, and Australia.

Seasoned Instructors
Our seasoned instructors provide cross-functional, hands-on instruction to solar workers on the fundamentals and finer points of the design, installation, commissioning, software, and operations and maintenance of our advanced PV tracker systems.
Best-in-class Training Program
PowerworX training is more than an academic approach. Much of the training takes place at our outdoor facilities, where participants are put to work so they can see our systems up close and personal.

Our goal is to put attendees in a position to do their best work in the field and help train their coworkers.

Professional Development Credits

In the U.S., graduates of PowerworX Academy courses earn seven points toward a NABCEP degree. In Australia, our PowerworX 101 course is accredited by the Clean Energy Council (and successful graduates earn 15 CPD points).We are constantly updating our global PowerworX sessions, so please check back to this page to find out our schedule. Custom O&M Training
For EPC customers and third-party installers requiring O&M training at our Centers for Solar Excellence in Fremont, CA, Sao Paulo, Brazil, or Sydney, Australia, we can customize training that’s right for your crew. 
PowerworX 101: Tracker Installation
Participants will spend the majority of their time during this session in the field. This session covers:
  • Product overview
  • Product installation training
  • Equipment demonstration
  • Hands-on installation
  • Logistics and quality
  • Commissioning
  • Design and quality
PowerworX 201: Commissioning
Participants will split their time between the classroom and hands-on commissioning experience in the field. This session covers:
  • TrackerCX software
  • NX Stand-Alone Commissioning Kit (STACK) installation and operation
  • Software interfacing with NX controllers
  • Wireless communication protocol
  • Controller parameters to make a tracker follow the sun
PowerworX 202: Operations and Maintenance
The majority of participants’ time will be in the field for hands-on learning and execution. Working in small groups, they will have access to a deep bench of O&M experts. This session covers:
  • TrackerCX software
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Installation quality inspections
  • Major component replacements
