Yesterday (January 20th, 2021), over 3,000 clean energy advocates, leaders, thinkers, volunteers, special guests, and musicians around the world got together virtually for an evening of celebration, mingling, and music at the Clean Energy for America Inaugural Ball and celebrated President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the clean energy equity agenda.
I was so honored to be introduced by US singer and philanthropist Akon and kicked off the incredible event by playing Star Spangled Banner at the Clean Energy for America Inaugural Ball, the evening of President Biden and Vice President, Harris’ inauguration.
We’ve come so far. Solar is the fastest-growing power source. We’ve created hundreds of thousands of safe, well-paying jobs. We are saving customers in their homes and businesses billions of dollars a year in power costs. While we are getting this done, we are enabling clean air and clean water for ourselves and for our next generations, and we are accelerating energy independence.
